Exercise, Onegai!

The Danger of Not Exercising
Some researchers said that lack of exercise ‘twice as deadly’ as obesity (Medical News Today, 05/01/15) and lack of exercise as ‘deadly’ as smoking (National Health Service, 18/07/2015). A report, published in the Lancet to coincide with the build-up to the Olympics, estimates that about a third of teenagers are not doing enough physical activity, causing 5.3m deaths a year. The researchers considered survey results from 1,743 participants from 1988 through 1994 and from approximately 500 participants each year from 1995 through 2010. Survey participants recorded the frequency, duration and intensity of their exercise within the previous month, and then justify their health through the school attendances, and later again after another 5 years. Students who exercises regularly has their full attendances while many of the ones with incomplete attendances said they do not exercise. In fact, lack of exercise can results in severe health issues, such as muscle atrophy, cardiac decline, increased visceral fat, and colorectal cancer (Lack of Exercise, not Diet, Linked to Rise in Obesity, Stanford Research Shows; 7/07/2014 Stanford Medical News).
Therefore, exercising is crucial for school students as not only for effective curriculum utilization, but also for the long term health welfare for jobs or daily activities.

Solutions
A.      Poster Design

My initial idea for the poster was to connecting art with health. So I started with the thought that cultivating a healthy life style resembles the making of a piece of art. The outcome can be a good or bad depending on the skill of the artist in using the appropriate materials, orchestrating an array of different components from layout to the use of colors, as exercising to achieve a healthy body.

Easel and shoe to represent ‘masterpiece’ through exercising, which is health.
I then colored the background with the typical Singapore’s track and field and blue sky seen in schools  to give impression and convince students that exercising grants a big beautiful masterpiece, i.e. health, and that physical lessons and passing sport sweaty tests should not be reasons for exercising. Thus, students will feel encouraged to exercise

My Second Job

Being a teacher takes money and effort. For instance, teaching a student requires money and  attention. It takes money and students' attention. Why does one be a teacher when he can be a cook?
The answer is simple. It is due to simplicity that the humdrum routines of modern lives feel no additional pressure, shifted away from the perpetual state of turmoil, transforming it into a whole new life free of complexity. However, the answer to the question "Why does one be a teacher when he can be a cook?" has yet to be answered. When people choose one path, he may not take that path, because Newton's First Law of Inertia was just a definition from Sir Isaac Newton her. Himself!
The big question now, is "What exactly is my second job? Where is it? What kind of bagatelles is my bellicose personality blabbering about?". The latter is not the one alluded.
It all started when the abhorrent heat of summer which was capable into volatilizing human sudoriparous glands; in all serendipity the winter was yet to come, but in contrary, the autumn wind pricked into the skin and carried dampened air in absolute zero incubating inside the bone marrow.
Seriously, though, what is the second job? Will it not be pray told already?
Not just yet. Sentences need to be finished and words need adornments. The strongest lock need not the strongest key. A problem is only worth a problem when it is meant for a solution. A simple question needs not bottles. Jars of orange juice, unfinished overnight cider, or wine wastage, need bottles. Any polyethylene therephthalate will suffice. It may sound like the cats or dogs in the house. Not even mentioning how the summer inferno sometimes yield a winter snowstorm-like rain in cats and dogs.

Notwithstanding all that, conclusion is the summary of any expository or the other 3 types of writings: narrative, descriptive, and persuasive, in order to enhance the messages and points aforementioned in the written passages, or a profound inference from reference to the points spoken as part of discussion.

An English teacher is my second job. There.

Rejections and Acceptance

Rejection is not the end of the world. It's the end of your acceptance at the point of the rejection. Acceptance is not anything special. Do not spend your money more excessively than normal at the thought of you are going to receive any money through your hard work. Hard work is but a means of an end. Meaning, I do not know. As long as you enjoy your work, thinking it would boost your cognitive section of the cortex, instead of the more common thoughts which moan on the never-ending and never-moving clock hands. For the sake of Neptune, there is nothing more enjoying from a hard work than the hard work itself. Work hard and hard work will befall your hard wok.
